But modern travel often confronts us with a more challenging, overwhelming reality: amidst the rush of crowded terminals, tight schedules and meticulous security checks, when we finally settle into a seat at the gate, we simply long for a quiet, reassuring moment to pause and breathe. Beam was designed with that very need in mind.
It is built around a central, universal crossbeam made of extruded aluminum that links to all other components and accessories and neatly conceales fixing points.
Sturdy, minimalistic aluminum legs and the softly moulded lines of the seats complete a look of uncluttered and subtly sophisticated presence.
Beam transforms the simple act of waiting into an occasion to reconnect the pure joy of traveling.

Norbert Geelen is an industrial designer working between his native country – Germany and Italy.
After graduating from GHS Essen, he freelanced for Matteo Thun in milan.
from 1997 to 2004, he partnered with Robert Kilders at the studio Bert&Bert, designing furniture, accessories, and tableware.
Since 2005, Mr. Geelen has run his own studio, specializing in high-end office and contract furniture design for high-profile international clients.

Using minimalist aluminum to construct a stable frame, the hidden structure dissolves clutter, creating a seamless and exquisite appearance. The soft and agile seat lines create a high-end design aesthetic, transforming the waiting space into a simple and comfortable resting place.
